BALI – LOKADEWATANEWS.COM – I am the Pangdam IX/Udayana on behalf of all residents of the Kodam IX/Udayana, hereby officially accept and declare : Colonel Inf Agus Muchlis Latif, S.I.P., M.M., and Colonel Arm Untoro Hariyanto, S.I,P., M.I.P., and Lieutenant Colonel Arh Teguh Waluyo, S.I.P., and his family as members of the Kodam IX/Udayana with a welcome greeting and become True Prajajurit Praja Raksaka.
This was conveyed by the Military Commander (Pangdam) IX/Udayana Maj. Gen. Sonny Aprianto, S.E., M.M., while leading the Tradition and Sertijab Ceremony of Kodam IX/Udayana Officers at the Udayana Hall of Makodam IX/Udayana, Denpasar, on Tuesday (28/3/2023).
The officials carrying out the handover were Danrem 163/Wira Satya from Brigadier General Choirul Anam, S.E., M.M., to Colonel Inf Agus Muchlis Latif, S.I.P., M.M., and Asrendam IX/Udayana from Colonel Arm Johanes Toar Pioh, S.I.P., M.Si.(Han)., to Colonel Arm Untoro Hariyanto, S.I.P., M.I.P.
Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Arh Teguh Waluyo, S.I.P., took part in the traditional event of acceptance as a member of the new Kodam IX/Udayana where previously on Tuesday (14/3/2023) he had officially accepted the duties and responsibilities of the position of Danrem 163/Wira Satya as Dandim 1611/Badung.
In his remarks, Pangdam IX/Udayana said that the replacement of officials within the TNI was part of the organizational and personnel development mechanism as well as the leadership regeneration process. In addition, it also has a strategic meaning to improve the quality of units to be more effective in carrying out unit tasks so that they are able to answer increasingly complex task challenges.
Regarding Bali Nusra which is the territory of Kodam IX/Udayana, the Military Commander explained that apart from having direct land borders with the State of Timor Leste and having several outer islands which of course require extra supervision and security, it also has VIP and VVIP security protocol duties which are quite high in intensity.
In particular, Bali is often used as a venue for national and international scale events. “This requires high readiness from all soldiers, especially Danrem 163/Wira Satya to anticipate and prevent various possible disturbances and even threats that could hinder the implementation of these events,” said the Military Commander.
Concluding his remarks, the Military Commander hoped that what was conveyed would be understood, guided and carried out properly and with full responsibility, so that the duties and responsibilities of the IX/Udayana Military Command in upholding state sovereignty and the integrity of the land territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, especially the Bali Nusra region, could run smoothly maximum.
